So today I'm going to be about 5 miles from the terminal when my 14hrs will expire. Question is this with being on e logs do you drive it in or take a 10 hr break. By the way way our e logs just went live Monday....with paper logs it was a non issue.
Very real hypothetical.....

Just tell the boss sorry dude, you wanted them this is what happens.
-
I second that- "Boss, electronic logging is Zero Tolerance, this is what it's going to be like."
Then remind the man it sometimes happens near a customer and you can't make your appointment 'till you do a break- or split sleeper..quickway Thanks this. -
Make up the five miles and get there sooner!

In the end this is a trip planning issue, but just tell the boss, I need a little room here to transition gracefully (or not so gracefully) to the new system.
Another words cut me some slack.
If you can not make up the time, I would run the extra 5 mins or so. -
Just now made it to the terminal.....there ain't NO WAY I'm going to take a break 15 min from the house. I'm going to tell him to get creative with his computer and fix this lil mishap. I knew situations like this were possible, just didn't figure it would happen the first week we went live with the e logs.

Ya don't ever make it 14hours and 15mins its the diffrence between life and death!!!!
What a crock of bs!misc, quickway, 123456 and 1 other person Thank this. -
The time to cover that last 5 miles can easily be lost in an infinitely different amount of ways during the course of a day. I dont think its a trip planning issue, i think its just the reality alot of us are going to be dealing with more often in the future.quickway Thanks this.
