A business course at a CC is the best way to learn. There are many online these days. If you don't know what a profit and loss statement is, or even how to calculate real profit this is your best route. Then you get into depreciation, writing and updating business plans, accounting, etc. If you want to succeed and don't know anything about the above, this is the way to go.
If you have all of the above handled, and are looking for more specific trucking information, it unfortunately ends up being the school of hard knocks. Lease yourself to a carrier that pays percentage and allows you to pick your loads. Give it a good year, and you'll make relationships, learn a ton, and will start making real money. Remember, less miles+more revenue=profit.misc Thanks this. -
As others have said, business classes are good.

Then read all the docked threads in the "Ask An Owner Operator" section of this forum.
If you are going to lease look for a percentage lease not a mileage lease. -
