Because I wanted to know. That's why people ask questions about things.

I'll have to confess that I don't really care how long you've been with them, but I thank you for that information anyway. I'm sure there is at least someone here who cares.

    ...and I wish you luck...

I wonder what percentage of drivers once worked for Swift?

I just don't think a trucking company the size of Swift really wants lots of drivers making their top pay. If they started treating drivers right, think of the cost.

It's all about getting the desperate in, give them a little walking around money and get them out.

I mean how many times has a driver said they went to Swift becuase they had no other choice.

People should not let things get so bad that Swift or CRST is their only option.

Wow. How contradictory like of you. You ask a question, I answer and you say you don't care. Why ask then?

Adjusted for inflation and Obama's money printing? Have you seen the price of gold lately, and the value of the dollar? You all know that you've had a 50% pay cut in the last three years because a dollar is only worth half as much, right?

But the truckers' pay "just hasn't caught up yet". It seems to me that in reality, if you're getting 1990 wages in dollars, then you're really getting more like 1980 wages, at best.

But at least you have CD players, you don't have to get out of your truck and walk by someone who starts up with an air starter, you're probably not in a cabover unless you're too stupid to back a real truck, and the government tells you when you need to sleep, so you don't have to think about whether you're tired or not.

I would say, even at about 25% of the previous wages, trucking is still a better deal today, and when the Mexican drivers come in, I think you're going to be doing even better. You'll have to move a little more used toilet paper out of the way to use the restroom, and it may not smell too good in there, but real truckers don't use restrooms anyway.

Just trust the government, and if they ask for your gold or your guns, just give them to them. We're nothing without their leadership.

You think Swift is bad? Marten Transport out of Mondovi, WI is 10 times worse.

    I think you misunderstood me.

When we say "I wish you luck" around here, what we really mean is the same thing that a Christian means when he ends a message with "I'll pray for you".

In French, we say, "Va te faire enculer, connard". It means the same thing..."I am not interested in having a conversation with you."

Swift has it's sights set on that new deal signed by Ray La Hood as he sneeked down past the Border Dogs.
