Ya, they're a good training company, but APU's, no.
-
Sorry but no APU's they do have bunk heaters in most trucks. I went with Schneider and thought they were a good company to train with. Good safety record, stand behind the driver. I only left because I had a chance to run to the west coast once a week, a nice change from the east coast all the time.
-
May I ask who you went with, I want to run the west coast.
-
I am running Fed Ex freight, but if your in/live on the west coast Schneider has a OC there. Once you have a year otr then look for other things that you may be interested in doing, there are a lot of choices after you have some driving experience.
-
Thanks for the info, I live on the east coast.

If they have no APU's then what is the idle policy ? Do they expect you to burn up in the heat or can you keep the cab cool ?
-
You can idle, you have set goals that they would like to have met but they don't restrict you.
-
also most(all??) of the trucks have bunk heaters for the winter.
I was told last week they are looking into a cooling system also....don't know how far they are but they will not install apu's. -
Why don't you just get a job first and worry about getting some experience first? If a company has APU's on their co trucks should not be a major concern at this point. Try to get on with a company that will meet your needs about money or hometime. Don't worry about if they have a APU or not.
