I've heard that sometimes you have to go in the opposite direction to get that load going home. I know you must me frustrated and homesick Shawn. Hang in there bro you'll get home eventually. In the meantime, keep reminding dispatch you need a load going home. Welcome to the forum by the way.

Well, here's my take on Ptl,and yes I did work for them. Got done with the class, said to myself,"that dude has a smart mouth, hope he don't try that with me". This is the bald headed instructive teacher. Went to w. Memphis ar. Got truck. Auto. Put in shop,to get the trans codes seen about. Oh,they reset, its all good,pal....went to Texas. At every stop sign, redlight, fuel or pee stop, would not move. Called them, said to turn key 2 times...turn 4 times....turn 6 times.....anyways...took truck to shop..got ride with a driver headed back to the yard... two men..twice the gear....oneee rack......in one week, three different tractors....smart mouth, bad bad attitudes...and I am not alone....stay away..or not. I told ya

Welcome to OTR. If you can't be away from home for more than 3 weeks, don't drive OTR. Every OTR company is like this. You are not guaranteed you'll be going home on a specific day. Even if your dispatcher says you will, things can change at the last minute. You can job hop to every OTR carrier and you'll run into this same problem. You need a local job if you want to be home more often. OTR isn't for everyone.
On a side note: you guys bashing the grammar police aren't much better. He already apologized, so drop it and move on. -

I have worked for PTL for 2 years now. They are the epitome of half assed.
