Well this week has SUCKED. Now I am just voicing the job is what it is. For the 1st time in my year driving truck and about 8 months driving bus I have been delivering between midnight and 4am 3 loads in a row and now the load I just got picks up tonight at 4pm and delivers by 4am. With my sleep apnea and being on a routine to control my sleepiness last night was a bit tough. Might refuse my 1st load right now to get back on MY schedule. We will see going to call FM now.

That does suck maybe dispatch can find you something better

That's really going to limit you Cage... but being a tired trucker really sucks too.
A heckofa lot of our loads deliver in the wee hours at grocery DCs. We don't really have control of it... its the nature of the beast. Early delivery so the goods can be turned around and on the shelf before folks get off of work... -
Today any better Cage?

Ok just getting going for today. Yesterday I had a Cargill load out of Hazleton, PA to Washington Court House, OH. They tool ALL day to get trailer loaded I left there about 7pm for a 0000-0400 delivery time. Well doing 65 the whole way I got in at 4:46, drop and hook anyway but thanks to shipper for stalling seems to happen alot from those guess. Anyway onto next issue. I picked up my trailer from the Walmart DC from my drop and hook and the trailer has an airleak and a bunch of the lights do not work, now realize still 0 dark 30 so was not leaving without lights, I was able to tighten the lines with the airleak so that is done my FM said he would pay me for that, got the trailer to TA in Jeffersonville and they took 3 hours to find the light problem, actually they just put a jumper between the bad a good lights and now they all work legally. I cannot believe the driver who dropped this I hope he gets the 290 bill for the repairs plus whatever I get paid. HOW HARD IS IT to walk around the trailer make sure it is good before dropping it, so he basically LIED on his dropped trailer report. Anyway trailer fixed I slept most of day I am now headed toward Grand Junction, MI to pick up on a FCFS shipper between 1000-2200 hours tomorrow so I plan on heading out shortly getting there and then getting a 10 and taking off for NC and SC 2 drop load woo hoo.

Thumbs up you guys! Appreciate your sharing...

Don't be late on that one! The blueberry deal is a hot one for us!!
The easiest way into the place is from I196 up to the Phoenix Ave exit.. then about 4 or 5 miles east... turn right after the 2nd RR track. The other way from Paw Paw is a little convoluted. -
Thanks IP I appreciate it.
