I left the yard about 0845 local time this morning. Unloading in Jefferson City right now. I'm guessing I was gone before you got there. That happens quite often.

Latrop Yard. Waiting on a short one to SLC for Monday. It is okay. My hours are doing a good job bumping my 70 every day. This will at least give me a chance to have about 14 avail on Monday. If the trailer would have been here when I got here, then I would have taken off, and got a 34 in SLC or t-called it

Beloit, WI. Had a knock on my door less than 5 minutes after I parked. The nice gal claimed she was not a lot lizard, but promptly went away when she saw my son sitting in the passenger seat. Ha ha! My son did not understand what she wanted, and I didn't explain.
Rattlebunny Thanks this. -
North Vegas Petro. Pickup in Havasu going to Pueblo CO. Got swapped out on trucks and I should have stayed in the motel. I don't care for the cabinet layout but that I can deal with. It won't idle as the bunk controller is broken. I tried every other trick and it shuts down. The turn switch is busted and hanging by its wires. And the front right fender is gone. also there is a steel wheel on the right steer. Sigh. At least it runs. Sort of.

West of West Memphis at a rest area in Arkansas....yesterday I was parked next to a fellow swiftie...he shows me his scale ticket and says he only has one notch left to adjust his weight and it wont be enough....drives 31000 and tandems 34800...he is trying to move the tandems forwards. OK I am not even gonna say that he was thinking he could slam the load somehow to shift the weight. I suggested he move the tandems back about 5 notches and reweigh the truck...he thought it was gonna cost another 9.50 for a reweigh...oh yeah...first he figured he could just dodge the scales ...lol...another buck later he is sitting with a legal weight on his scale ticket. How can he have trained for 6 to 8 weeks and not know how to scale a load....I wonder why peeps make fun of us!
Injun Thanks this. -
Tandems can be a little confusing ... I'll get questions from different drivers and I will see a couple drivers in truck stop standing around with scale ticket trying to figure out what to do.
And then I saw a first week out solo with, from another company, with fuel hose in hand trying to find the fuel cap.
Rest stop I65 south of Louisville. Headed to Laredo. Plan to get there Sunday and shut down for 34. Hit the wall in 7 days, 3700 miles and out of hours. -
At home in Kirkland Wa.
Three things went wrong with my truck on the last trip.
The sat radio died, all it says is aquiring signal.
A drive tire is a little leaky, hopefully it will work until monday.
My turbo is making odd sounds. -
Did you pay the satellite radio bill?
I'll be in the wind tomorrow and Sunday.
