He talks about all the GOOD things with Schneider. Now tell everyone how many loads you had to unload by your own hands. Lets be honest, because I know for a fact if you say you never, then you are a bare faced liar.

good thing you can read!
Read the post again and then post your apology. -
I was thinking the same thing EvilTwin.

I have been nothing but happy with Schneider from the first day. Be that because they are a good company (to me at least) or because I have really low expectations I don't know. Sure as hell a lot better then TransAm where I started my driving career. Oh and I have never touched freight for Schneider, nor have I been asked to. I'm a driver, not a lumper.
-+DREAMS00 Thanks this. -
I'm curious, I read a few dozen openings that Schneider had on their website and it seemed that almost all of them (possibly even 100%) required the rig be parked at their terminal during your home time.
Perhaps I am missing something but what if you live 100 miles from their terminal? Do they make exceptions or do they simply not hire you? Does anyone know how their schooling reimbursement works? Is it paid at the end of a year, immediate or added weekly to a check? Also will reimbursement only be provided if you volunteer to a team driving position, I seen another company only did it that way recently? -
I am dispatched out of Carlilse,PA, the closest OC is Charlotte,NC,(200miles) and I take my truck home with me to Wilmington, NC all the time4wheelJoshua Thanks this.

Years ago it was 75 miles or more from an OC or OP and you took the truck home. Then they upped it to 100. I'm not sure what it is now. If you're on a dedicated account, you almost always had to park at your home OC/OP. Thats why dedicated usually only hires within a certain radius of a facility. But like everything, there are excptions.4wheelJoshua Thanks this.

Zero. Zip. Nadda. I am on a dedicated reefer account. I dock, walk inside, pull door seal and open trailer and simply check off each pallet that is removed by the store employees. When done, I have manager sign sheets, i shut door, walk outside, get temperature readings, and I am off. Call me a liar all you wan't, I am being 100% stone cold honest. I am sure some accounts require driver load work, but I am absolutely certain Schneider would inform the driver of that before going on the account. They are very good at being completely up front and open about job details.
