I worked for May trucking back in 2006 for a few months before going to Knight transportation... Like a stupid arse... I let my wife at the time talk me into giving up my CDL so now I am starting back with roadmaster on monday morning. Did get a jump on it and went and passed my DOT physical, and took all my endorsement tests today and passed. I was wondering what the average miles drivers are getting in the reefer division.... I also am choosing to go reefer again and this may be a dumb reason... but I always bring jumper cables with me to run from the reefer unit to the main batteries, so after playing xbox 360 or watching movies my truck still starts in the morning....
So anyway curious about what average miles drivers are getting and how is it working for May these days...

depends on who you go with? or who you talk to, my self, Im with JCT, no im not company or lease, I own my truck, i have to beg to get less miles, well not really beg, but from time to time i have to remind them the truck is a machine but im human and need sleep from time to time, some of these newer reefers, at least for t/k, they can start your truck if your battery gets to weak, just turn your key to the on potition and wait about 15-20 minutes,

I will actually be going back with May trucking... out of layton in the reefer division driving 48 states.... I am actually so excited... no wife, no house, no bills(well that I am paying anyway).... my sister doesn't get the whole wanting to drive.... its not like I am anti social... I am very social... just not with a whole bunch of people.... So I will be going with May transportation out of the Layton utah terminal.... hope to get alot of coast to coast... I remember last time I worked with may.. was no problem getting to the east... was just a little more difficult coming back... seemed to always end up in georgia...

Good luck it MAY work if your homeless, or continue to work on low miles and back charge idle time and you can be homeless anyway.
-
is the miles not there? just curious what your average miles are .... would like some honest input...... lol what you mean about the homeless thing..... are things that bad as far as getting miles and getting paid... thankfully the hot months are almost behind us... but yeah I need to know what people are averaging...

Depends if your super trucker Steve then maybe 3k plus, I been out over one month and half and had to use one week of miles to add to another week.just too look like a paycheck, I can email anyone my pay stubs to verify, I have officially had 3 different times I did not reliever a pay check due to low miles to turn in or off work. I would say I average 1800 a week, had a few runs 800 miles and 3 days to do it, or like today unloaded and empty at 1130 am but no load tell 3am next day, another wash if a day plus 2 days in layton. I got 300 miles this week so far, after this pick up.and deliver I might have 1800 miles again

Trkdrvr sitting at a ts more than your seat time in a truck. I sent a QC message and got a call back.from.the terminal manager. He was not happy I sent it over QC. Basically I expressed we been through constant communication about the idle time as I wad in over 100 degree weather for two weeks straight. If they did not correct the idle and get more miles I would request a new terminal and dm. He checked my miles and admitted they were low. So he would push for more miles. I probably made my dm.cry , but I am not here to stay out months at a time and make what I can staying home doing local. I am prior service a few months out is nothing, in my unit we stayed deployed or on training missions for months. Just trying to see my bank account go positive instead of robbing peter to pay Paul.

does your DM hate you or something? there is no reason why you should not be getting atleast 1800-2000 a week.... are you 11 or 48? and I don't know you so please don't take offense but did you get an attitude with your dm? is that why your not getting any miles?.... just asking don't attack..... what terminal are you out of?
