Just my opinion, but I think some of us old timers might agree...I think that tickets are "unsafe" so to me, a million safe miles means no accidents AND no tickets.
Curious what the other million milers think. -
I'm reaching the 3 million mile mark by the end of the year.
Never had an accident and only a couple speeding tickets....no tickets in the last 5 years though except for being 400 lbs over gross.....Freakin Virginia chicken house..
I took on just a little too much fuel that day.Dave 1960 Thanks this. -

Driving since 1972,no accidnts, less than 10 tickets total,as for miles, estimated at 3.5 may be more.

I disagree, just because you received a ticket does not necessarily mean that you were being unsafe.
A lineman climbs a utility pole and starts working with electricity which could kill him. Is that unsafe? Some may think it is, but with the proper training he makes what MOST consider unsafe, safe for him and others around him.
I would use that here. With proper training and understanding, driving 70 in a 65 may NOT be unsafe for an experienced driver, but an inexperienced driver may be unsafe driving much slower then the posted limit. It all has to do with your experience and ability. By law Who would get the ticket, the experienced driver who created no unsafe condition, but who would have no tickets? I think that this question can't be simply answered as every situation can cause different results and it is very possible to do the most dangerous things in the safest of ways. IMHO -
Some TICKETS are just plain DUMB.
I recieved 1 for removing a CHALK mark on my tire in a rinky dink little town in Northern Ontario that some BYLAW guy had put on to determine if I sat there too long. It was a whole $3.00.
