Never said I can't install a CB I said I wouldn't install a CB or anything else in a company truck unless I get a OK from Swift.I know people install them on there own but its a company issue truck not yours. So my point of view,I wouldn't install it till they said I can do so.

Swift does not object to the installation of a CB and even encourages it. The wiring, antennae and place to put it are already there. All you have to do is hook up the power and antenna wires then strap it down (in Volvo) or pull the elastic band over it (in Freightliner or International.) There is usually no wire splicing. Just use the stock antennae. You never know if or when you may be switched out of the truck.

Installation should take no more than 5 minutes. Even for someone who has never done it.

I'm also curious how you're making out with training.

Training is going good so far, went to TX, AR, WI, and IN last week. made it home this weekend due to my trainer having a family issue. Ill most likely be done training in 4 to 5 weeks.

As far as things that swift say you cant have a GPS (people were using the car ones) and a inverter were the two biggies I remember them talking about.
Well, I got a GPS, a PC Miler 750, a CB, and a sirius satellite radio, I plan on using them.
Haven't gotten an inverter and dont think I will.
Leaving out tomorrow for VA, then FL

There are some things a small (up to 400W) inverter can be handy for. Like charging your laptop. But since this truck does not have an APU, I do not have the big 1,500W one. I'm doing just fine without it.
