If you ever want to get home on time, Then don't drive for PAM. They have no freight buying power. They have burned bridges with, it seems, every broker they have worked with.
You wanna get screwed outta miles, Go with PAM
You wanna get the lowest pay, Go with PAM
Message me for any other questions
I drove and trained for PAM for 5 years

I have driven for PAM for three years now, but I have to disagree with at least some of your statement.

I average 2700 miles a week. Pretty good from the other drivers I've talked to. And I DO get home when asked. Might have to gently twist an arm to do it, but you just have to be polite to the DM.

Let's start with the brokers: You claim they have burned bridges with every broker they have worked with. Could you substantiate this by providing names of the brokers they have burned bridges with. Please elaborate in more detail. How did they "burn bridges"? In addition, you instruct prospective truckers to go with this company for the "lowest pay". Again, documentation and facts would be useful here. How about a printout of net pay stubs for 10 drivers selected at random for this company and compare it to 10 drivers selected at random from JB Hunt, Schneider and other large carriers. Finally, can you provide specific examples where people get "screwed out of miles". Your comments make for sensational reading, but unfortunately, there is little, if anything to back them up.

if you drove for pam for 5 years. then you shouldn't have any trouble getting a better job. plenty of companies out there. perhaps you should take a break from trucking before taking another job. you should let the anger from p.a.m go before you start a new job. that's so you can have an open mind. and decide what you are looking for in a job. and not have anger cloud your judgment.

P.A.M. is by far not the best for pay and miles, for sure. But from reading this forum, you can see that there are alot of places just like P.A.M. My husband has been with them for almost 3 years. Miles are very inconsistent, communication amongst the different offices in Tontitown is non existent, most of their driver managers are inexperienced. They do not pre plan you at all and that is one of the biggest reasons why miles are lower than they should be. Home time can be a struggle but that depends alot on your DM and where you live. Personally...we have found that we are going broke out here. It is about time to find a local job in the N.C...Va....TN.....SC area.

My only question is, if they were THAT bad ... Why did you stay there 5 years?

And that is a legitimate question. WHY did you stay that long? It must not have been that bad to take that kind of treatment for that long. A couple of months yes but 5 years?

Sorry, but I can't reach out to you on that when you could have walked at any time.

Uhm wouldn't that be more of a regional gig:biggrin_2558:
Might want to narrow that down a bit if you want local advice. Not saying anything just saying:biggrin_25525:
