He was joking about a 53' turning quick.

Hindsight is always 20/20 if I had it to do over I would have just gotten every endorsement possible. You can't say May never hauls hazmat. If you have that endorsement it might help you get a load you otherwise wouldn't have got.

I have to get my hazmat now ($90) I'm going to go ahead and get my tanker as well that way I'll have it all in case I ever need it. Never hurts to have more than what you need.

May does not haul any HazMat at the moment. They used to have a few accounts, Kodak film being one, but they do not have those anymore.

Of the very few, I mean very few, loads that I have had that contained HazMat materials, I did not need to placard up. It was some paint for Home Depot, but not enough to declare.

To say they will not add any in the future is a different story.

The only endorsement I did't want was passenger. I have absolutely no desire to haul any kind of cargo that can talk back!

How is May at keeping you rolling? Don't want to be hung up somewhere waiting for a day or more for a load. Will they pay you to run empty to ppick up a load away from where you dropped? (Sorry, not up on the nomenclature yet, so not sure what the correct terminology is for this.)

Also, what is a UA? Haven't heard that one before.

    Thanks.

a UA is a piss test..... have to take one when you sign on or an accident or whenever they feel like you should.. no the only time u usually get paid is when your pulling freight... unless you get something ahead of time ok'd by your dm...

You get paid when you deadhead (empty) but it's usually not more than 60 miles in my short experience.

Triple, 60 miles? :) They had me deadhead from Payette down to Fontana. Once I had to deadhead from Ontario, OR to Portland during one of the windiest days of the year along the Columbia River! Not too fun when you're empty.

I know may has these international trucks now... any chance of still being able to get a freightliner or a pete ? or they pushing all the internationals?
