you have a good point there,i dont have tint on any of my vehicles but my eyes are very sensitive to light which can make it hard to see, eyes watering, migraine headache etc,and my glasses make it difficult to use sunglasses over them, tinted glasses also arent that great...

tinted windows would be really nice, but the post above is very true, during a stop w/ alot of cops you would find yourself in this situation.

i would still like to have tinted windows.

Yeah I get light sensitivity. Trust me my daughter's complain they can not get a picture of me without my glasses on( sun my eyes are fine).

Just applying a bit of logic to getting a prescription for tinting and leaving the largest piece of glass untouched. Any Officer will see the obvious flaw in that situation and most likely issue a citation as there are better methods that do not violate regulations.

And any prescription must be presented for a waiver from the FMCSA or is not worth the paper it is printed on.

Yep, that Crystalline series is interesting. Need a weigh-in from dieselbear - if it meets the percentage requirement, "having tint" is no longer the problem.

The window tint law must not be enforced very often. I see quite a few trucks with tint. The max in SC is 5%.But some of them have the super dark limo tint. Surely these guys aren't just driving around the country letting tickets pile up on the dash. Or are they?

If it's almost clear, but cuts heat and UV, that works... I don't use tint because it looks cool, but because it makes the vehicle cool. OK, it looks a little cool.

    dieselbear Thanks this.

Ever since I lived in FL, I use tint for the same reasons ronin. It will definately keep your interior looking good. Being a company driver I never been able to use it on a truck. I probably would with that new 3M. I wouldn't want anything interferring with my mirror night vision.

My car and pickup are tinted with 20%... wouldn't have it any other way. I've tried 5% on the sides (in Wyoming, where we could) and it was a nightmare.
