What kind of JCT people, mostly, post on this thread? The kind who are willing to help you out with advice and such. I personally, have no desire to be a L/O or an O/O but occassionally post here and even asked Alan for a favor and he did it!!!! For a non JCT person even!!! Thanks Alan and am still hoping my friend contacts ya'll.
The Challenger, Alanp613 and grannylane Thank this. -

About how long does the hireing process useually take with JCT, from the time you apply till you get an orientation date? Providing you have a clean record, ect. Some companies take a month or so to do background checks, drug tests, ect. before you get a start date, some are quicker, just wondering how long it takes to get hired on with JCT. Thanks
grannylane Thanks this. -
You am old Roadway driver?

Well day 1 complete. Very nice facility, staff I've met so far extremely nice and businesslike w great sense of humor. What we did: road test ( used super 10 - however the tyranny died while one of drivers was just starting) rest of them used normal 10 speed . I got the super 10, made enuf hamburger to eat rest of wk, passed test. Made 1 error. Was immediately informed in professional manner. Backing test- if u fail u go home, had long nose - took me a while- not use to turn radius (90 degree) . Had to apply and dig deep for knowledge haven't used in a while and passed. Don't think anyone failed. Did UA testing and medical - just waiting for Dr to show to do cough test. Watched films on smith system. Doing homework on log test and smith system. Did allot of paperwork on between testing. Class OS alittle behind do to road test delays. Those who had blood pressure issues - will re take to pass ( very nice gesture). I passed 128/78 not bad for 290 lb man. Monday will be really busy in class and I am eager to get it finished. Rumor is TRK selection Mon but will wait and see. As of today no TRK in bull pen ( class TRK avail area). I must say out of all the orientations I've been a part of this is the best in my opinion. Class size is 27 expect 1-3 more Mon. I M impressed w the constant affirmations of sucess and support we are exposed to. If the rest goes like this and the dm's and other staff is such as what I've experienced then in my opinion their is truly an opportunity for every driver to succeed . That all for now. I am going to enjoy rest of eve. Went grocery shopping at grocery store- within 5 min walking distance. Hotel is nice. Cont brkfst is nice. Update more Mon pm. Thanks to the forum contributors, so far what I've gleaned in orientation matched earlier posts.
grannylane, The Challenger and Alanp613 Thank this. -
