Emulsified,if you just have a load of loose carrots, they normally have you disconnect from the trailer, then they tip it from front to back .The carrots fall out the back.If thats the case you are gonna have a mess in the back of the trailer.the carrots get smushed in the grooves, believe me its a nightmare of a trailer wash. They will have to take a metal pointed rod and dislodge all the crap smashed in the grooves.takes a while. Hopefully you have a good trailer wash in the area. Its not gonna be a case of just wash the trailer out.Good luck with that one.

You going to Maxton? Yea, they tip the trailer up and dump them out. They will let you park on the yard there if you get there early. But plan on getting some detention pay cause they are always behind schedule.
Theres a place that will do the trailer washout accross the street for 80.00 but they close at 5PM. If they are closed look for a sign with a phone number on it at the exit from the campbells plant. Theres a guy about a mile from there that will wash it out at his mobile home for 40.00 lol. And yes Stevens will accept his receipt. And he does a great job to. Otherwise the next closest place is in Fayettville and they will charge 180.00 to clean it out.
Im officially on Campbells dedicated now and loving it. I live in NC so Im at the Maxton plant alot. -
Shucks Everone beat me to it. Quite amazing the first time you see youer trailer at a 45 degree angle. And the washout across the road uses the left overs for his pigs. Congrats on the cambells fLeet clegg. Enjoy all those heavy soup loads
Sounds about right emulsified. From whole foods to the meat patch for me on thursday -
Man did today SUCK!
Today was DPS "Driving Test" day...
Due to long lines forming at DPS hours before they open, shuttle pick up time was 5am going straight to Garland. Did I mention that I was still on nights? Yeah, was done yesterday night at 11pm. Anyways, almost 3 hours waiting at DPS for them to open at 8am only to be troubled by mechanical issues on the trucks that they brought. This drastically slowed down the air brake testing and I didn't get to complete mine till 10am. There were 14 of us TRYING to get our tests done and possibility at the chance of taking the road test because the examiners were going to stop everything at 1pm. Did I already mention that the trucks were not cooperating...? I guess that I should just EXPECT something to go wrong EVERY TIME I go to DPS, lol...
Passed the air brake portion of the driving test and I BETTER! get a road test tomorrow... -
Mistermino....this is trucking. There seems to always be something going wrong.
Learn to roll with the punches.
Congrats on your passing.
Well my 2300 load last night was a surprise to shipping. They told me 1400 today "at the earliest. We ain't even kilt the pigs yet!"
Went on up to the Pilot in Dunn. Got a shower, good night sleep and felt a lot better.
9:30 comes the call. "Driver. back on up to door 10."
"Be right there."
45 minutes later there I was. And no one inside seemed to notice.
On my way to Tampa Bay area.
Have a preplan to pick up OJ (what else?) and head out tomorrow for Oklahoma.
Hey! I'm not complaining. I'm rolling.
Like I tell my DM..."don't let me sit somewhere. That's when I get time to think, then get all pissy!"
Trying to figure out which meat patch they'll be sending me to from Ochelata. DodgeCity? -
<- knows all too well, and thanks...

Keep that head in the game brother, would give a lot to be in line at this point. Three more weeks until I leave for school, hell by then you will be on the road livin the life. What week are you in now? How many of your written test have you completed? Can you tell me a bit about the paperwork you filled out when you first arrived at school? Has the staff been attentive to the students? Are you at crosslands? Was there any surprises for you so far? Is there any smoke breaks during the school day? Do you attend school on the weekend, or is that study time? How many questions can I cram in one post.......lol? Thanks for your time man, you are my inside guy!!!!!! Thanks!!!
Hey mistermino I talked with my recruiter this morning, asked her about the night courses.....she was adimant there was none. Are you at the campus in Dallas? Maybe you know something that she does not?
She told me the only schooling services offered at Stevens end at 4 pm daily, Is she confused, I know that other people in this forum have had Her before---Natalie Cabellero.....and they have said she is very honest, Is she just misinformed of current changes? Thanks.Last edited: Aug 10, 2011

There is not an evening class offered. However, if the class is overbooked, they will move students to an evening class. I was in it myself...
Good news, I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST TODAY!!! WAHOO!!!Shiftylots Thanks this. -
The vortex that is Callifornia has had a grip on me.. Made my delivery in Stockton on Monday morning, and got my produce pre plan, earth bound farms, one pick... oh hold on, change that too 2 picks... and earthbound did not start loading until 2230.. sure shot monday all to pieces. Second Pick, by fresno... but they wont be open until 8am... and with no sleep, I head down the pass to the Petro, and catch some zzzzz's.
Get to the second pick, for one pallet, and 15 minutes later I am on my way, but there is no way I can make Denver CO by Thursday early am... plan on stopping at the Loves in Las Vegas for a much needed shower... pull in and catch some zzz's and that shower...
Get up this morning, and my DM has found a repower, will be at the loves about 8am... works for me... the truck shows, and I get a load that will be dropped at the colton drop yard...
Drop at the colton yard at 1330, and ask for a load out... 2 hours later, get a Wally World load from South Gate to Longmont CO, drop and hook both ends... life is good, and I get to drive in the daytime again.
In barstow CA tonight... then a nice drive to Green River Ut, and then over the mountains to Longmont on Friday... with only 18,000 of dry goods... Then off to the meat patch.... -
Congrats, thanks for taking the time to answer all my? You have been very helpful......good luck in phase one!!!
When do you graduate?
