It is no problem. I had no issue with his post. I think that too many newer drivers do not believe that they can make any money as a company driver.
The money is there to be made. With a couple years experience a driver can make 50-60k per year with no problem, if they want to stay out and run hard.
They can do that even with e-logs.
I made a choice to be home more. And thus made the choice to take less money than I could if I was full OTR still.
I really wish I was in a better lane actually. Like Mr. 1Bad. But alas I am not. So I take what I can get.
Drivers need to know alternatives though. There are ways to make money as a company driver at Central. But it will take a few years in some cases to get there. And it is dependent on your dispatchers, planners and even the other drivers in the company.
How are the other drivers involved???
    Well...
All we can offer as trucking company's is service. The better the service, the more contracts we keep. If other drivers are not giving good service, then we get fewer contracts and loads.
Which means less freight to haul. In order to get that freight back the company has to lower rates and beg for another chance.
This is why the Kraft fleet payed more than some others. We could not be late, for any reason, ever. Also fleet average miles were low. But that was more due to local trucks being in the mix. So the longer haul kraft drivers made good miles. 1Bad saw this himself.

Anyway. I went way off topic. And everyone on this thread knows this info.
Oh, had something funny happen. I think that my company wants me at a desk. I got driver of the month a few months back as in company wide. But now my dispatcher has taken my suggestions for planning on several occasions. And I had another odd comment from my other dispatcher. Anyway I do not live near Columbus, so it does not matter. I will stay a company driver that thinks too much.

Lol Pan, Do you really think I let JJ do the thinking :biggrin_25525: (Joking Babe) Can't wait to get home for a few days, sleep in a bed not have to fully wake up to go to the Bathroom as its only a few metres from the bed and have a pot of hot coffee brewing, but I have got so used to the TS coffee that real coffee tastes strange :biggrin_25513:

Only a few more days and I will have our truck to throughly clean and start putting my stuff in a real fridge (Heaven) toaster oven crockpot its going to be nice to be able to put the Power inverter where I want it to go and not have to worry about company BS no more Utah loads with almost three days on them and no Snowwy I don't hate Utah well not really :biggrin_25522: just the sitting waiting on a load.

that surpisres me on waiting for a load. everything i've looked at always has loads.

course, i can't see the pay on them. but you know. mormons have to ship freight too.

but i know how you really feel. that #### utah county construction is getting on my nerves too. and now it's spread into the next county south. 85 miles between the two counties. and the next county doesn't even has so much as a shovel out there.

i work for a small company. none of our deliveries are opened on the weekend. or pickups for that matter.

    WE'RE GOING TO STURGIS BABEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

    2012

    AND YOU'RE ALL INVITED.

anybody know or heard anything about crst malone? they require 6 months flatbed.
course, at this time of the year. when the slow point is just around the corner. probably best to just wait till next year.

we met a guy in baltimore,MD that worked for CRST Malone. he owned 6 single wide mobile homes in KY. he did great, just about got his freight shaker paid for. I do believe we gave him one of our shower credits because he was in bad need of a shower.

Not quite 100% Americanized. Old habits die hard.
