We want to send hay to help the desperate ranchers in Oklahoma. What's the best way to find haulers looking for loads going back that can make it affordable for the ranchers? We normally sell our hay in Montana but want to help them. Ideas truckers?

Just don't expect to get it hauled cheaper because they are looking for a load back. They will be looking for a rate comparable to what they hauled up there for, just because it's a back haul doesn't make a reason to haul it cheaper.
For finding trucking companies in your area just look in the yellow pages give them a call and let them know how many loads you have and I am sure the would be happy to give you a free quote. -
You can do like the people in North Dakota do... post up ads on the tack boards at truck stops. I didn't haul any hay out of there, but I forwarded the number to my employer for future reference. There's also Craigslist, don't forget. And pass the word on to a couple of drivers. Even if they don't haul any themselves, they might pass the contact info onto someone who will.

Whatever brokers they are using to haul the drilling mud out of Greybull.
Those guys pay .90 a mile for 48k load. Pay .95 a mile coming out of Montana and you'll have guys beating down your door.
Seriously.
Contact a broker and tell them what you are willing to pay and they will find some desperate sucker... er Trucker who is stuck in Montana and needs a backload. There are plenty... Not many choices for loads out of Montana. -
What part of Montana? Anywhere near Billings?
The Plentywood area of Montana also needs hay in the worse way. -
How would I find a broker that deals with that area?
