Starting with USX on Monday 8/8/11

I was just reading and was wondering if this is true, " Also, at least at Tunnel Hill you have to duck walk. They stretch a rope about 42" off the ground and 1' from the wall. you have to duck walk under this rope without touching it, the wall or the floor, no hands for balance. no 3 points of contact. If you cannot do this you will be sent home. I have seen guys 6'5" 250 lbs who were in great shape but could not get low enough to keep their back or head from touching that rope. Needless to say these BIG guys were mad when the left to go home. " I am going to Shippensburg, PA.

 

Learn something new everyday. Do they really think I wont touch the ground or hold onto the bottom of the truck when I go under it.

 

Well I am here in Shippensburg. It is like Mayberry. We were standing out front of the motel and everyone was looking at us who drove by. Like there is new meat in town. The hotel The Shippensburg Place is really nice. USX is coming by about 6am to pick us up. I came in with about 4 other guys but more might still show up. I will let you know more later. Also no phone service. Glad for laptops.

 

I made it. I passed all the tests even the duck walk. There are about 23 new people in class. 1 went home for bad eyesight. Did not get to take driving test because only one instructor to drive with.

@ NoCoCraig they are building another shop across the street. With lounge, laundry, pool tables, and a trailer repair shop. They are growing.

 

Day 2 down long day. They have not said anything yet but took our pics. so may be we are in.
