I've been reading these posts for about 6 weeks about the in's and out's of the trucking industry. The knowledge gained is priceless, and I have not yet written the check for school.
From you guys and gals I've learned about truck and trailer parts and pieces, up and down the hill, dispatch, logs, truckstops, good company, bad company, even a few things about boobs (thank you ladies room). The list goes on.
This "ain't my first rodeo" and I'm looking forward to finishing out my working career with the right flatbed company right from the start.

Good luck to you! Keep on your research. I am a seasoned driver and pick up little tid bits on here all the time! You can never learn enough. Also its kind of like building a house or being a carpenter, anyone can swing a hammer but there are many ways to do it easier and faster!
If you are interested in flatbedding look into some of the concrete casting places. There are a ton of them in FL. Here are some sites that may help you find some good companies:
