"New" Pilot in Miami Florida

    Stopped at the "New" Pilot in Miami the other day cause I needed a shower bad!

    DO NOT GO THERE FOR A SHOWER! Worst TS shower experience I ever had! It's an old TS that Pilot took over (Dade Corners) FL-997 and US-41.

    You have to go into a seperate building, walk through the tire shop, there you will find a tiny bathroom. The shower had numerous leaks so the bathroom floor was flooded when I got out of the shower! There is NO AIR CONDITIONING! (Not fun in South Florida in August!)

    When I was getting dressed I was sweating so bad the shower seemed wasted!......................................:biggrin_25523:

    Kitty corner across from that big casino? I was there last year, wanted a shower on a Sunday, and they didn't DO showers on Sundays...

    I called the company and they got me a hotel, my trailer was dropped at 7UP, anyway.

    BTW, that casino is pretty cool - nice resturant, nice bar/club, football is on 8 TVs...oh, and Cuban women...

    And PLENTY of free truck parking in the back of the parking lot.

    LMAO yeah I got there at 3:30 and I was told to hurry. NO SHOWERS AFTER 4PM!...............................WTF!

    Pilot just got into that place about a week ago. My hubby was just there yesterday. That place has always been a crap place for showers.

    I'd rather take a "Polish" shower in the sink than bathe in a Miami, FL truckstop.

    what did that one driver say, he had to go around back of the truckstop and stand on a stack of empty pallets to take a shower.:biggrin_2559: it might have been a trucker tale.:biggrin_2559:

    If it began with 'Y'all ain't gonna believe this . . . ' then it was definitely a trucker's tale!

    Pilot just took over supplying the fuel, not the whole truck stop there at this point. I'm sure that's coming though. The casino just across the road does have a pretty good buffet though, and they do have truck parking.
