No such thing,if you go to a trucking school, they will talk about pulling doubles and might have training videos on it but more likely you wouldn't learn it hands on till you work for a company that hauls doubles.
-
That's a good question. Most LTL companies will have you towing doubles if you have the endorsement wether you've towed them or not before.
My only advice would be to go extra slow around corners, really keep your following distance proper----like 1/4 mile between you and the car in front of you, and follow a procedure and stick with it when you hook/unhook. -
I ask becuase I talked to a recruiter for known an LTL and he told me that you need to have experience with doubles/triples to be looked at for hiring, the question was how do you get experience with doubles/triples if you can't be hired because you don't have experience with double/triples? The company was Oak Harbor Freight.

One solution would be trying a different company. I know that some Fed-Ex contractors hire and train on doubles.
-
Yes, maybe try a different LTL company, like everyone except oak harbor.
-
Fedex Ground would be a start but they are all O/O I believe, but I do think they hire drivers but its a 1099 contract.
-
That's what THAT company required. I went right off a flatbed to triples. It's not so much as having experience with a set it's more like having experience driving anything and how well you do it. If you don't have a few years under your belt I would not recommend driving sets. Nor would I recommend driving tankers with hazmat.
