Ontario trucking companies that will hire US driver

Hey all,
does anyone know of trucking companies in the GTA that hire drivers from the US, my girlfriend lives in Oshawa and we are getting married in September, I'm trying to get a job OTR from a Canadian trucking company, unfortunately its not has easy as saying
"we'll hire you, come on up"
Since Canada doesn't recognize a commercial drivers has "skilled" the employer must obtain a "Labor Market Opinion" which basically states that they have made every effort to hire a Canadian for the job, before offering it to a foreigner, once that is approved they then can offer the job..
Once that all happens the employer must present an "Offer of employment letter" to the potential employee, THEN with the "LMO" and the "Offer of employment letter" he/she can go to the point of entry and obtain a work permit...

OR !!! Would it just be easier to live in Oshawa and drive OTR for an American company out of Buffalo

I don't really care if I need to take road test, or written test, etc, If need be need be, I've been driving for over 20 years if I cant drive or back up then I should just hang it up...
