I am MT in OH and have a reload for tomorrow. But have been getting calls from brokers all day long for loads where I am MT. I am not posted any place onther than LS but these are not LS agents. When I ask how they found me I get a vauge answer regarding a database.

Is some LS agent selling/trading my MT status?

I've had the same thing happen with Landstar a couple of times, although it's usually with Worldwide Logistics, which I think may be the brokerage leg of Annett Holdings, aka TMC. Best I can figure, it comes from Landstar agents that are also agents for other brokerages, but I really don't know.

Yup, Worldwide was one of the callers. Didn't get the other callers companies. Not really an issue just odd.

ITS has a value added feature (for brokers only) called "hot prospects". If you search for loads in any given radius, brokers can see your contact info.

    This is correct.

BBB, if you're using ITS, call them and have them to disable the feature.....unless you like the brokers to see/know what you are searching for.

good to know. But it does not much bother me. At least I know when I get those calls that it is a desperate broker. Never happen when I pulled my van. But after two weeks of pulling flatbed I have calls coming out of the wood work. Supply and demand working in my favor this week.:biggrin_25519:

2 or 3 years ago I was researching loads and kept getting calls "hey do you have a trailer in so and so".....I got tired of it and called ITS and they disabled it.

I have been looking for loads to Alaska as of late, so maybe I should call ITS back up and have them undo it, as for once I'd like to be bothered, LOL.

Guess that means those calls I've been getting apparently out of the blue weren't due to my good looks and winning personality.

    :biggrin_2559:

I'd gotten a few calls like that in the past two weeks. That coincides with starting to use ITS, but I had a bunch of other stuff going on and didn't connect the two.
