well you can always do what brittany spears did. and just shave it off instead of getting a drug test. and if anyone asks why you shaved your head you can just say that its a hot time of the year and its making you cooler doing that. and also you think you look sexier bald headed. (that is if your a male) now if your female just tell them your trying to keep up with alot of the latest fashions and all the famous people are going bald this year and your giving it a try. or if you want. tell them your embarrassed to say it but you got dandriff and your dark hair shows it too much so you shaved it.

 

Just take your chances with schneider man you do not want to drive for werner. I haven't heard anything about sni doing hair test anyway. I know roehl, england, and I've heard jb hunt do . But don't quote me on jb tho

Just to make you feel a little better,I dont "smoke"now..But,the very FIRST thing I will do when I retire in 14 years or so,is light up a big "fat one",-one of,hopefully,many.... (I,for one,miss it)

 

A hair test doesnt go back 3 years more like 6 months and I think Schneider does hair.

 

Catfish is right! The Norm. is 90 - 180 days! I still believe you will show inconclusive, but it's easy for everyone else to say don't worry about it. Fact of the matter is if you came up dirty on first day of orientation and was sent home, would it end up on a permanent record? That's the real question here. I'd say maybe take a different gig for 3 months. If the issue is something that will destroy a career? I don't know but I'm betting if you came up dirty it would be recorded and you would have to answer "yes" to that question on ever App. you put in from here on out. Better to take a few months doing something ya don't want to do rather than never being able to do what you've worked this hard for. Yeah, I'd take a good look at the DOT link below . Schneider does hair test. I took one about 6 months ago for them as pre hire. You dont smoke for 30 days then shave your head and wait until you grow at least half inch and never do it again. Dont go in and fail because you will have that on your DAC forever and nobody will ever hire you. Dont let them take hair from your body because it will go back a year. This is what I gather from web research as for passing the test in your situation. SNI I am sure does hair testing though I am sure of. Good luck to you and dont beat yourself up, seems you know now what the cost is.

 

Hair testing isn't very common from what I've seen. But the OP must find a way to know what testing procedure is used and wait out the hot period or avoid a hair test. Don't bet there is a trick to be clean if you aren't clean. Learn the lesson and don't choose to make life hard.

Probably the best way to find out is do whatever it takes to talk to a recent new-hire at the company. That person just went through the procedure, and it's not likely the company just changed from one test to the hair test.

First, I'd use a screen name only for the purpose of tracking down an answer. I'd search or post on forums for new-hires to the specific companies in question. Wait until you get numerous answers before you proceed. Going through the official channels at the company they are more likely to answer "hair test" whether it's true or not to keep drug users away.

If it really was one experience it won't likely be detectable all that long anyway. Aren't there tests you can buy at drug store. I've heard of parents testing their kids. One event is most unlikely to show up in a hair test. Ironically, the sooner you take a hair test the more likely that one event won't be detectable.

If this happened to me I'd probably just wait a month, take a drug store test, and learn my lesson.

 

I just graduated SNI's Orientation 2 weeks ago.

Yes, every new hire is required to do a hair follicle test, it is their policy.

Now, we had one person in our orientation that failed the hair follicle test. Now according to his room mate(I don't know first hand) SNI told him they were sending him home, and he was not welcome back. He asked about his DAC report and they told him it would not be reported, the hair test is a company test, and technically he is not officially hired with the company until he graduates orientation, so they can't report the failed drug screen.

Now, remember I heard this second hand from his room mate, so take it with a grain of salt.

One thing I do know, if you fail the hair follicle test at SNI, you will never ever be able to work there, they keep it on file.

 

If you only took a couple puffs you should be ok. The drug has to distribute itself through the body and with that small amount the test should be inconclusive if anything

 

Once you agree to a Hair test they can take it from anywhere they want if you shave your head and they cant pull it from there they will use armpit hair or arm and leg hair now if all of that it short then they can take pubic hair if they must. The min you say no to them taking it from anywhere else you are labeled with a refusal to take a drug test.
