Does W/S have any areas they allow to be home every week? or is it out so many weeks and home so many days? I'm about 20 miles from the terminal in Youngstown and was just wondering, currently looking at a few companies. Rather get a more local job, but a regional type job would be ok as well. Probably will end up calling recruiters with a few more questions on Monday or sometime next week...

the east coast regional guys are home most weekends (depending on where you live)
for the OTR drivers they ask you stay out 3-4 weeks at a time, and you get 1 day off for every 6 on the road, no limit on how many days off at a time.

Great advice.........
What's one thing, (besides your wife/girlfriend) you wish you'd thrown in your bag, prior to heading to orientation? -
Nothing i was prepaired

From reading your threads, you were prepared for a long time, just needed your DOB to catch up to you.....
I could be wrong, but don't you live pretty close to where you attended orientation?American-Trucker Thanks this. -
Thats right, if i could have gotten a differant birth certificate i would have

1hr 15 minutes south of the terminal, close enough to deal with driving back and forth, but far enough away to not be happy about it

You wouldn't need one if you had a Volvo....
