my partner and i got to the motel together and he googled werner, and started reading of werner horror stories at that point it was to late.. i had already jumped in ...that i had all my bases covered and that i was going to give it 100% so it might not happened to me ..but i guess i was wrong
either way your going to have to start somewhere i was hoping to get some feed back on this forum as to where...either way good luck to you driver..the only advice i can give you is make sure that they clear you through with all the medical issues and reference checks before you head out ..then all you have to worry about is their and physical and skills test

I realize everybody starts somewhere fresh out of trucking school. I'm pre-hired for Werner and US Xpress. I'm considering other options as well such as Schneider National (the orientation isn't far from me, about 2 hours) and TMC (I hear that their orientation and training is very tough.)

I'm willing to start with a "crappy" company just so I can hone my skills and get a feel of what needs to be done in this field of work. All about weighing my options at this very moment.

Take your time and research each potential company thoroughly. Which ever company you choose, try to stay at least a year. You don't want to be a job hopper always looking for greener grass. Good luck.
