I am looking at a Peerless cement trailer, single pod, to haul oil field cement. it is an older trailer, aluminum, about 450 cu ft. My question is the interior of the trailer and it's working parts (pads?). How do i determine if they need replacing, and are they expensive?

You can tell by looking. Get down inside with a ladder and run your hand around the pads. If they've got holes or seem thin in spots, replace them, no problem, they are very cheap and easy to replace.
