The owner, Victor Domenico changes his mind and the pay on a daily basis. Great Equipment, but horrible management. Was making 21.25/hour for local work, then one pay day, there is a note in the envelope saying we will be paid 18/hr retroactive to the beginning of the last pay period.
Domenico also has a point system: You get 6 points a year, to burn on things like, speeding = 2pts, careless driving = 6pts and termination..get the point..haha and finally 3pts for reporting an on the job injury. How arrogant can an owner get....Pretty Arrogant
This guy will also, deduct fuel and wear and tear from your pay with a whim. It is a shame this guy ruins his own company. He pulls for King Soopers and has 75 trucks. Great Job....Lowsy Owner

I am not sure about Colorado, but in MOST States, Victor Domenico appears to have broken at least several State Labor laws and may have broken Federal Laws as well.

For example: While sometimes an employer might lower pay, it is illegal for him to do so "retroactive" and without a valid reason.
Also, it is ILLEGAL (this is a Federal Labor Law) for an employer to PUNISH an employee for an on-the-job injury and to deduct for things that are his responsibility, such as fuel and wear-and-tear. But he is fully with-in his rights as an employer to institute a "Point" system for violating "Company Policy" or Safety Regulations.

I suggest that if he deducted from your pay in the above manner(s) you contact your State Labor Board and file a complaint immediately.

Also, any payroll deuctions have to be signed for and authorized by you. That's another federal law, so it sounds like you could very well make life tough for this ignoramus is you wanted to. I certainly would.

Yes, and EACH time a deduction is made, it has to be treated as a NEW deduction and must be authorized and signed for, as if this is the first time.

I know this is an older thread. But saw an ad for them today and talked to them a bit. The pay seems decent for what it is buuut not sure on the insurance. If there are any "current" driver that happen to see this please let me know if they are worth working for, and if you can make a decent living.
    Thank you

I see this is an old thread, and just came across. I have been employed with Domenico Transportation over 10yrs, and this sounds like a disgruntled past employee. Our pay has changed over the years, on an upward scale, and I believe this is to keep the company competitive, in the marketplace, with rates and turnover. There has never been a point system, driver pay has never been reduced, and deductions from our pay for, "fuel and wear and tear on a whim", are simply not true. There have been drivers who negligently damaged equipment, and were retrained on proper procedures, not terminated. I work with some of the best professional drivers at this company, and make a great living. We are assigned our own tractor, and I heard they have ordered 20 new T680 Kenworths. Great company, great equipment, great pay!!

    Would this be your company?

I'll give you this much. Your safety scores are good.

The problem I have here is that not only are they based in Denver, but so is your IP address. So you'll have to forgive me if I question your credibility, especially in light of the last couple tidbits you mentioned. You're looking an awful lot like a manager.

I still see ads being ran off and on. Noticed now they offering 4 on 4 off schedule. And making 1400 a week. Not sure how true that is or how the insurance is. Would appreciate any first hand knowledge. I could call the office, but we all know how they'll make it sound .
