I have had apnea since I was a small child and only within the last 10 years was I able to convence a doctor that I had Apnea not depression, All doctors claimed it was depression that caused me to sleep 12 hours or more a day and still wake up tired. Doctors are full of themselves.... Anyway a CPAP is a wonderful device and I believe the only way to get off one is to have surgery or if your overweight and that's what is causing your problems to lose weight. Otherwise a CPAP is for life!!!

Its not about being honest its about a hipaa violation you do not need to tell them about your medical history and it is a violation if they require you to show medical records. When you went through ACAP on your way out they explain that to you. And for showing complience they are not medical providers they do not need proof only your doc or insurance needs to pull that card now whos to say they didnt want a recamendation from your provider thats difference but as for diagnoses and getting into your medical information its a hipaa violation
