Hello if you worked for CRST and was in the Fontana (dustbowl) terminal ,your health may be at serious risk.
It appears that the dust you were breathing contained chemical from a previous factory that was on the site.
There has been a few complaints about respiratory conditions from several drivers. Many don't realize they inhaled these chemicals and suggest you have a dr check you out.
I Hhave talked to a lawyer about this and she seems to think that a class action law suit may be on the horizon.
It would have been an easy thing to have had awater truck on site but crst apparently didnt care AND KNEW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.

Do a little research into class action law suites. In most cases it benefits the lawyer, and not the victim.. How can a lawyer tell you that, without having all of the facts.. Things like this will take time.. Someone will have to pay for people to do a thorough investigation into the history of the site, the people who owned it (may be more than one) company occupied that building, what exactly was manufactured there etc.... This sounds like nothing more than another CRST bashing thread..djtrype, kid_cardiac and borntobeadriver Thank this. -
Sounds like
post...

I was party to class action law suit. $400 million awarded, after lawyer fees, my cut was $2.89. The average class action, the lawyers get something like 60% of what is awarded. the members of the class action get like 30% and 10% goes for misc. costs.

Class action just sounded good to this guy. Probably had no idea what it is or what it entails. Just more proof that some in this industry would be hard pressed to consider themselves smart or informed.

I know a mechanic that worked at that terminal and he says hes got problems breathing. He was there for 5 years ,now works at the cedar rapids terminal. He thought it was smoking so he quit but still has problems.I'm gonna get in touch and tell him about this thread.

What's there to tell him? If he has breathing problems, and believes it came from that location. Then he needs to get hold of a lawyer.. But because he smoked, he will have a hard time getting someone to take the case. He will need to get a doctor, to say that his problems is solely caused by the work place. Good luck with that argument..

What makes you so smart? I've read lots of your posts and seems all you do is argue? Are you a lawyer or something?
-
Really, it is called debating, there is a difference. I'm just pointing out the obvious. If you think your friend has a case, then he needs to purse it plan and simple.. He use to smoke, how long? companies will be able to make a case, that his smoking might have a lot to do with it.. You need more than a couple of people to make the argument that the work place caused their health problems.. If you can't do that, then your sheet out of luck..

In case anyone wants to know there was a cement factory on the site of the Fontana terminal,The chemicals they use are very bad ,its like asbestos
it gets into your lungs and stays there. So it seems to me that once this is brought out it can be proven reguardless if someone smoked or not. All this can be verified.
