I have been looking at going with usxp but have been kind of worried about the duck walk. I have almost 2 years otr experience but I am 6'2" and 285. I am in pretty good shape for a bigger guy but was wondering do they let you put your hands on your knees or down to your side for balance?

I doubt that they would object to that. You could always ask the examiner to clarify, but that may only serve to signal them to look more closely than they would otherwise.

Or, you might just try resting your forearms on your knees while leaning slightly forward...(quacking, of coarse, is completely optional !). :biggrin_25525:

Well that is your choice but i would not let someone else determine my future. Most trainers are great people

The trainer I had was just a bad trainer. He broke so many rules. He talked to me like I was his kid. He had a rule that any car on the side of the road I have to move over. When there is no law that says I have to except for cops. I asked him for 4 days to stop at Walmart or a food store so I can get things and he did not do it. I left yesterday at 1030 and the last time I ate was about 6 pm the day before. He said that the guy before me lost 18 lbs in 3 weeks. I was given a log book to do my written logs while out there. He took it away from me and you know how you have the top copy and the carbon paper then the bottom copy. He had the top copy pulled out and only had me fill that part out. So if DOT asked for my log I would not have one. Plus wont have copies for the past 7 days. We were also doing elogs and he would spend time changing things on it to give us more times. He is not allowed to drive for the first 75 hrs he did twice. The funny thing is and I said nothing to him. He drove an auto trans for 5 years and could not shift the new truck he had. We were going up a bridge and he could not get it in gear and while going up stoped in the middle lane of the bridge to put it in gear. He told me I have to ride the white line on the right side of the road. When passing on a 2 lane hwy I have to ride the yellow line on the left lane. There is only about a foot of road on that side and then grass. I am not crashing the truck to ride that line. He would say something to me every time I did not do it. We also made a delivery when off duty. That is an on duty status. He would also be playing with the GPS while driving and going into other lanes.
