I don't know if this is true or not....if your idleing don't apply the tractor parking brakes...apply the trailer parking brakes only and you can idle all night long without the engine shutting off.Don't qoute me on this I could be wrong....
-
Actuate PTO mode with c/c switch.
-
By activating the pto on the c/c like you said it only raises the idle 100 rpm which is around 750 and no more than that. I would like the fast idle around 1000 and no idle shutdown. I havent tested to see if it shuts down with pto on.

everething depend on MID 128 and MID 144 programming.
ouh, I cant belive there is no dealer who can do it? I do it easily -
I do have idle shutdown ON set for 5 minutes when low idle but I opened the idle rpm up to 1000 and when it is fast idle never shut down. That is great when I have the microwave turned on or when I plug some powerful electric tool to work on my truck.
I did it at a Volvo dealer and only took 5 minutes of programing. -
You're not wrong. That's how it's done...
-
The volvo I drove you had to wait until the message came up saying "idle shutdown" then tap the gas. The message changed to "idle shutdown canceled" and all was well.
Sent from my EVO -
I agree don't put the tractor brake on or engage the PTO with the Cruse Control Resume switch when not rolling. PTO max rpm is set in the vehicle Electronic Control and has to be reprogrammed by dealer.
-
The dealer by me, if you change any parameters it's $250.00
How about putting the cruise control in the off position, works on my truck.
