A couple of things. First off no excuse on stopping to get you food. What a jerk.

You are on elogs, you do not need a paper log book unless is goes down or you have a violation. The DOT can look at your elogs and you do NOT want a paper copy laying around if the elogs are working (they always are working) as it will not match exactly.

At the end of the day I always adjust my on duty postings on elogs. Lots of time, you stop at a rest area for a bathroom break and you do not log off. At the end of the day you edit this to preserve your 70 hours. Normal for every driver I know. I will stop for fuel which takes 10 minutes but then pull up and go to the bathroom and get something to eat. I adjust the logs later.

I always move over for a vehicle on the side of the road. this is just common sense regardless of whether it is a law or not. It is just safer driving.

    SheepDog Thanks this.

the thing is I usually never stopped since when I ran team I never had time since I ran alot of JT or transit runs that had to get there right away.
I only stopped for fuel. one of the co drivers had to stop every 3-4 hours that ticked
me off and I got rid of him he was breaking my back since he wasnt running hard
I was loosing money.I liked getting the load there as soon as possible then getting
    something to eat

I just dont see why people wana team and wana stop every 4-5 hours I am sorry
but most of the freight I touched had to go straight there to the con.
thats the only way I made money. I like getting the load and delivering right away
sitting on a load is stinks your loosing out on runs

In my opinion you need to drive 7 hours straight but some times I understand with loads having a window and stopping when you have the time.
Thats why I like team I like to keep on rolling I cant stand sitting for a 10 hour break
I feel like its a waste of time I for the most part am ready after 6-7 hours of down time

Do you also unload at the receiver when you are on off duty status?

@ NoCoCraig Reply #35 was for you. Twice he drove after hrs because I was not allowed to drive. He is on duty all the time I drive.

truckergsch: I am a little confused In one of your first post you said you passed all the test including the duckwalk, but then you said you went home due to bad eyesight only to be hired. I was wondering what type of vision test did they
make you do. The reason why I am asking is I got a prehire from them today via computer. I also have bad eyesight
20/60 left eye 20/20 right eye
