They deserve whatever they get. They are more disorganized then my great-nephew who will be three next month. Thankfully a week to the day and almost the minute of him quitting Link he was on a flight to Colorado for JBS, first day of orientation he reported home about the major difference of how these companies operated. This is my quote not his, but he basically said "it was going from a circus of clowns to a corporate enterprise that pays attention to each individual and their needs" I was so glad to hear that. That relieves a bit of tention for me, granted I will still worry about him, but not nearly as bad.

Sounds like you had some bad experiences, but it also sounds like you have bad information... DOT cannot force anyone to buy anything (they can shut them down, fine them, and change their rating) They audit drivers logs & drivers behaviors, and hold companies accountable to fixing bad driver behaviors. a conditional rating comes from drivers not filling out logs properly. Sounds like Link was sloppy and lazy and allowed it. I just read some new investment company bought them last month and kicked out almost the entire mgmt team for allowing bad experiences and being bad mgrs. It said they are buyng 200 new tractors and 400 trailers, and they decided to buy to electronic logs to help drivers. Not sure what I think about them yet, but it sounds like they are making a lot of changes.

No I was not misinformed. DOT stated that they either switch to electronic logs or they would be shut down due to the fact the supervisor overlogs not mentioning any names admitted and I have recorded that her policy is to throw away logs if she is unable to read any portion of it. Yes they have been bought out by investors it approximately started two months ago. They have let several drivers go, lease operators who were not behind on payments and some management, but the majority of management is still there. They have not purchased any new equipment yet. Doesn't matter to me anymore cause my husband is now working for a much better company that guarantees the mileage, pays him what he is worth, and cares about the driver and his family. To be honest I hope for Link's sake they do change for the better, but for those that are still there during the transition I feel bad for them till thinks take a turn for the better. I know within a three week period they had over 120 drivers quit on their own. I have no hard feelings against them and wish them the best of luck with these new investors.

This reply sounds like someone trying to put a positive spin on a company's questionable behavior. To blame the drivers actions and not metion anything about the company's operating and business practices reads like a lame attempt at damage control. Another group of investors buys this, or any other company, to wring any quick return on investment out of it and then dump it on another investor group to start the process over again. Link America's record speaks for itself, with regular comentary added by the DOT.
