cobra 29 installation

    hey all, I installed my cobra 29 nightwatch cb.... cb has power..... however there is no squelch...... and I can't hear anyone on the radio at all. does anyone have any suggestions?

    This is purely a speculative, uneducated guess... But I'm gonna go with bad coax or antenna. Check/change the coax, and check your SWR. Also, make sure the switches on the front are not set to PA, and if you're using an external speaker, it's plugged in to the correct port, i.e. ext spkr, not pa. Make sure RF gain is turned up all the way. Can't think of anything else to try. I'm sure someone else will come along to correct me or add more potential fixes/ideas.
