The entire Data Q process is offensive to the notion of justice and due process. This may be a highly regulated industry, but we are citizens of a country ruled by laws - not arbitrary fiats of self-important beaureacrats.
Its closed because the officer didn't respond??? The entire concept that warnings can be used to tarnish your career yet cannot be challenged and the Data Q non-process just begs to be taken to court on constitutional grounds.

Well ddizzy, I can see someone challenging one failed inspection, but three? You are fighting a battle you can't win.
What mechanic are you relying on? Certified or not, you are not going to get expert service at a TA. I even run across bad mechanics at dealerships. The mechanic telling you something can't be fixed like the ABS is bs. He might as well said "he" couldn't fix it. That there tells me he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. You might say he went to school and is certified, but how many truckers do you see went to school and got their CDL and still can't drive. That goes with any profession. You have ones that excel and ones that slip through.
The alternating flashers can be from a shorted pigtail connection or chicken lights wired in incorrectly if you have them.
A common ABS problem is the wheel sensor getting dirty. One mud puddle will do that. Pulling codes will narrow the problem. How the code is interpreted is by the experience of the mechanic.
What is the psi drop with one pedal stroke?
What are you driving? If you are driving an older truck, you will be targeted.Civilservant Thanks this. -
Its not that the ABS cant be fixed . It was used as a hot line for DOD. It is a military Issue and wont be fixed. Also I do a pre trip every day .I did not see an issue with the flasher nor did the mechanic. Hmmm only the inspector.I did not dispute the abs because sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt . I have been doing this for over 11 yrs. and if there was truth in this i would not have made an issue out of it. imagine this i have a clue .Also i showed the mechanic as well as the inspection paper and he also had a clue . If he didnt i would have said so.the truck is only 4 yrs old. Part of the reason i was targeted is the freight that the company hauls.I understand why i am targeted but I am not just a fly by night driver. I take pride in what i do.in my opinion you give someone more power and its going to be abused.Civilservant Thanks this.

I understand. I hope you can get out of it. But what they are going to look at is the 3 reports together and say all 3 can't be wrong. I've had a few bad deals myself.

I doubt very much they will remove them. they are not oos they are warnings . My issue is they carry the same weight in point as if they were oos . Im actually surprized that more drivers are not disputing these . if you get so many points because they can you could be fined by FMCSA lose your license or have difficulty finding another job.It was stated that when they forst started this and put it into affect that 165000 driver will be out of a job and many companies will not survive . When i got my PSP report There were only 9 dot reports on there in a 3 yr span .I dont have prepass and have been inspected more than 9 times in three yrs. There is only 3 clean reports i Have had many clean reports where are they? your percentage is based on all reports. These are some of my issues. The outlaws out there know how to get around the system the honest ones will be put out of work.
