    are there any ex-chemical leaman tank lines people here? i worked for them 1987-1990 in bridgeport,new jersey, and also have family that started there in early 1960's. give a shout if you were involved with chemical leaman!

    Alumnus 1978 - 1982, dispatcher at #013 [Grasselli], then Central dispatch in Lionville, Laid off from #003 [Croydon] when they lost A E Sthaley to Matlack in Bensalem...

    plus three summers working in the shops during college. My Uncle was a regional Maintenance Manager.

    I grew up in the northeast and used to see the Matlack and Chemical Leaman all the time up there. When I was in the Navy ('74-78), I used to drive or hitchhike from Norfolk, VA up to CT when I was on leave and especially on the Jersey Pike they'd be all over the place. What a shame that the big "investors" bought so many of the good-paying companies and drove the pay and rates into the ground.
