TruckersReport needs help beta testing an Android app - real time freight tracking

Regarding big brother... I'm not sharing the location data with government agencies or 3rd-party companies. If the government wants to track you, I imagine they'll just contact your cell phone service and get data that way. The only people that are going to be seeing the location data is you and the people that you send the shipment tracking number to.

 

Major Update

When the app was being prepared for Android Market, a feature was broken that prevented the app from sending location updates when it was running in background mode. That feature has been fixed, please update your See It Ship app to the latest version.

 

Ouch. Yeah, I don't think there are any practical solutions I can offer for cross-border tracking and the roaming charges that come with it.
