My idiot ex-codriver from CRST (WHO ACTUALLY GOT FIRED FROM CRST FOR DOING A U-TURN AND GETTING STUCK IN A DITCH!) just got hired on with PTL!

That tells me that PTL is lower than Swift, Werner, CRST, CR England, and JB Hunt COMBINED!...................................:biggrin_25516:

This is all secondhand information, but from WHAT I HEARD, I'll have to agree with you. At least some of those companies won't leave you hanging.

A friend of mine drove for PTL for a very brief period of time, maybe two months or so. He was just about to leave a rest area when his truck wouldn't start. He called his service department and explained the problem to them. Everyone agreed that the starter was the problem. All the service department told him to do was whack the starter with a hammer and get it to a shop. He tried to do that, but it still wouldn't start, even after ten minutes of trying. He called them back and explained that he tried, but with no success. All the service department would say was, "Well, guess you're stuck there." He sat at that rest area for two and a half days before he raised enough Hades and got road service out there to replace the starter.

Again, this is all secondhand, take it for what it's worth. But if a service department allows a driver to just sit there with a broken down truck, with no APU and no heat or AC, I'm sorry, I would stay as far away from them as I can.

I wouldn't call someone that married my ex anything freindly, seeing as how he might have been with her before becoming my ex...:biggrin_25511:

Oh, no. The ex and I split in 1999. They met in 2007.

Unless the ex was one of those that changed over time towards the dark side and you are GLAD someone came in and took her over and relieved you of a world of pain! He also took over any alimony that might have been getting paid!
