Huh, my lumper comchecks come within the hour. Got my home time. Even requested a route thru lancaster just to wash my truck and got that. I think your DM hates you.

Just go to truckload OTR and start fresh with a new dm. That LTL crap is a joke. same pay rate, more stops, less miles.

It's been a week since anyone posted. Everything ok? You guys keeping busy? I'm still on track to go to Fort Worth Sept. 5th. Don't let this thread die, as it's been a good source of info. thanks.

Everythings cool baby! Shoulda named this the FFE vent (no pun intended) Transferred to TL, doing much better. Get this, after all my aggravation to get outta LTL, I run into a driver up in Boise who was hollerin' pissed mad, about TL! He had the same gripes as me, but vice versa...weird. Goes to show...It's what we let get to us, and how WE handle it. Different for everyone. Soldier on

I was just wondering, as a reader of the whole blog, isn't this one titled, "Discuss Your Favorite Trucking Company Here?" Sounds like FFE isn't a "favorite trucking company" for most of the writers. Just saying.

I think this is more of a "keep it real" type thread. Sometimes trucking is not all rainbows and unicorns. Glad the drivers who work for FFE are not shy about saying how it really is.

All was good with me until this week. I picked up a heavy load from the Chicago rail yard. I got to the first cat scale and I was overweight. I refused to pull it, so they sent a lighter truck. Hmmmm less than 2000 miles this week and two 34 hour restarts. Coincidence??????

I'm narrowing down my choices of which company I want to return to driving with. I have a question for you all... What was your ending miles for the last couple weeks?

Also... Do you think you made a good choice for getting on the road?

If not, is there another company you wish you would have gone with?

Keep up the great work yall

but yes they have a real bad reputation with docking your miles if u piss them off...my whole family has worked here, i used to work here when u could get away with outlawing everything but not no more, but im sure all trucking company's are this way to an extent

This might have something to do with the really bad CSA numbers FFE has. Improving ones safety reputation and record is time-consuming and very difficult, considering the number of drivers they have. It can also be painful for the drivers; any corporate change is difficult to swallow.

Change will not occur until the pain of staying is greater than the pain of changing.
