Starting relay...You need one of those, they are cheap, around $20. Keep extra one in case your truck doesnt start. And all above is good to have^^^:biggrin_255:

One thing nbody mentioned; a roll of "mechanic's wire". Used to be in every truckstop but hardly ever see it anymore. Heavy, non-insulated solid wire, usually black. A hundred or more uses.

Just noticed this. When I ran a daycab, I kept significantly more spare parts and tools than I did driving OTR. Though I think it's just a matter of different scenarios.

Well I would keep them if I had the room, I have one small side box I have to keep ALL off my stuff in. Even though I usually run rolloff boxes, we have a 20' flat that we use to haul machinery and I have to have all my securement stuff in that box also. I also park my truck at the shop every night with access to all the fluids and spare parts on hand. I do have ALOT of hand tools with me though.

    Jimmy Hoffa ...

I keep a secondary "tool kit" that's a trauma / bug-out kit. I've seen some rough accidents that the kit came in handy for ... was a medic in the Army so I guess I double as an EMT trucker, ha!
