No once has mentioned Coca-Cola or Morton Salt. Both ends are the worse - shipping and receiving.
RustyChops41 Thanks this. -
As a proud truckers wife I took offense yesterday, when the company, Linen Tablecloth used their facebook page to talk crap about the guy who was delivering their product. I guess they didnt realize that any in the transportation industry would take notice of it but myself and 97 other members of a truckers wife group on facebook did and we are now vowing to boycott them completely. The post read as follows:
ATTENTION CDL DRIVERS: we just had a container arrive & it took the driver almost 20 minutes to back up to the correct bay door (in an empty bay)!! please someone send back up then maybe we can get products up on the site sooner... lol"
I dont know about anybody else, but when you wanna talk crap about a trucker, you are out of line and its disrespectful. They wouldnt have those items going up on their website if it wasnt for HIM delivering them!!
For all you out on the road and (those waiting at home), keep on trucking and be safe out there!Last edited: Aug 24, 2011
Mark Kling, 48Packard, fancypants and 1 other person Thank this. -
They have no clue what was going on. itr could have been a bad situation to back in there.

It shouldn't matter how long it took to back in as long as it ended safely. I'd like to see one of those cubicle queens get out there and do any better. It's not as easy as it looks.
kid_cardiac Thanks this. -
you know people who have no clue always know what it is to do it.

Perdue Farms in Georgetown, DE. I've been to a few chicken plants, but this one will make a person think twice about eating chicken. By far, the dirtiest, smelliest plant I have ever come across.

Don't know if this company has been mentioned or not, but....."SuperValu Foods" in Xenia, OH. Been there 3 times and every time it has taken between 4-6 hrs. to unload. Granted, it is a typical food warehouse distributor...but my last delivery there was a straight pull, of Campbell's soup, that took them 6 1/2 hrs from the time I hit the dock.
When I checked out, I told them IF I ever have to come back here...I will unload my trailer myself, as I can do it a heck of a lot quicker than they can. -
i laugh at kens foods in marlboro,ma and mcdonough,ga
i had a 8am pick in mass i showed up at 730a happy to say i was loaded at 5pm had to take their product to their warehouse in georgia then p/u at the same place to take it to lewisville,tx to a food whse.
i got the load down to mcdonough at 630a my dlvry was 11a my p/u was at 9a that day they emptied me at 3pm and then sent in that i was late and kicked me to the end of the line i ended up getting loaded by 2am though it worked out my company got me 9 hrs of detention but i hate kens i wont even use there dressings -
My vote for one of the WORST receivers is BJ's Wholesale Club in West Nyack,NY... Dispatch told me to get there a little early. When I got there the guy ripped my BOL out of my hand, told me my appointment was at 12 and too bad.. I had to wait. He went to lunch at 11:15 never came back until 12:20 stood around and talked to his buddies until around 12:45 opened the dock door at 1PM and started unloading me... 17 pallets total... took him over an hour and a half due to him stopping and talking to everyone and making phone calls. Next time Ill back to the dock and throw his crap on the ground and leave........
