Maybe Roadmaster is better in your neck of the woods, here I was not impressed at all. I do see many trucking companies that use them for entry drivers. For the money and the facilities that were in OKC it seemed to be a rip off. If the company is paying then maybe not such a bad deal. I paid out of my own pocket and was not about to give them twice the amount for a facility that was nothing more than a gravel parking lot. Just MHO.

My wife talked to someone she knows and found out that they have connections to local trucking companies.... I just might be in luck....if i can pass WIA's TABE test to their expectations.

How did you like Roadmaster's school, how much are they charging for classes now?

haven't gone yet, still in the process of it. I'm getting it paid for through the Career Centrals WIA program. Its 5k and WIA pays for 3500 of it, then MOST jobs will pay the 1500 tuition back as i work for them. Going to take my TABE test Wednesday...

I do agree. Recrutiers looks at the night classes in Tampa more than the day classes. We have the best insturctor, and the most time in the truck. Best Advice I can give, go and get your permit before you even start. That way you can get right into the truck and can skip over the cheesy videos -
I dont know if i can pass the written test before actually learning anything in the class. I'm not sure. I will try all of my practice tests online and see. :/

If you know how to read, and study you can pass the test. Also in the state of Florida your first test are free. If you fail any of the test, which yours truely did its 10.00 plus tax to retake. Stop by your local dmv and pick up a book. If you go to the first or second page it will give you the sections needed to get your class A cdl. It worked for me, thats why i pass on to you.- And trust me, I sucks at tests. You'll thank me at a later date
