I really havent been on the road since january of this year.. I worked for prime for 7 months and dont get me wrong they were an ok companyto drive for but call me a wimp i couldnt bare the fact of being away from home and my wife.. I left on good terms.. But im working at out of my hometown working overnights at wal mart and kfc and i feel like im barely getting by.. what should i do
im thinkin of getting back into it

Seems as if you have a decision to make. Either you have to choose the wife and home time, or the money that trucking can provide. It will be hard to do both if you want to be in the trucking business. Even the best of the local jobs might only get you home every night too tired to do anything but sleep for a few hours.
If you decide to get back into trucking, try to stick it out for a couple of years. You'll find a lot more doors open for you after that point. -
Hello, If you should get back to trucking try out pride. I hear they are real good and take your wife with you if she will go... Another good company is First fleet,they are a dedicated only carrier for different companys. Basically a contract carrier. Good luck on your journey.

thanks guys for the advice.. I had a talk with the wife and she dosent want me to cause she gets scared with me out there. I told her that yea but i need to do something cause im working even harder and making pocket change. nI have thought about trying Mclane a friend of mine works there and said he could get me in .. but i have to go up there to apply and thats like 2 hours away but i work all the time lol
