    That's pretty normal here in oz. Could have got it done for $300 less but could not get the truck to the cheaper shop.

    Yep they really are much dearer here, and the cents per km or $ per mile rates are pretty similar. That's why I do 99% of my own mechanical work and buy parts from USA when I can.

    I excepted the quote because they said they would have truck fixed the same day so I was only going to be off road for 3 hours. ######### took 27 hours . Won't be going back to them.

    Park on a hill, people. lol. Woke up to a dead battery a couple weeks ago. Fortunately, I was in a good spot to coast it and dump the clutch. Lucky break.

    UM YEP I GOT SCREWED, I should have taken the KY Jelly with me, might have been far less painful.
