spirit truck stop. south of wildwood FL. i75 we were going to stop at the petroleum at mm368 but I thought he said pilot 358. if that is my biggest navigational blunder I'll. be pleased. this IS my fist day with a CDLafter all.

 

Squeaked that last load in on this weeks check.

Next load came thru before I even got my doors closed.

It doesn't pick up till 1100, so that gives us some time to figure out where the pickup is. No macro 19 directions. No Google map directions. Shipper wasn't answering the phone, however it was just after 1700.

My GPS doesn't have the town when I do a city "center" search. However if I do an address search the town comes up but the street isn't listed.

Anyway, load will go to Arkansas for Sat delivery, if it can be found...

 

St Louis mo at d receiver left yard around10 last night(trainer wanted a load out of d yard ASAP) w/o a power nap I drove here and took one while we waited for them to open getting unloaded now and will b waiting for next load

 

Punched in the address in google maps and a pin popped up for New England Wood Pellet Co. Street was nowhere to be found.

Called the associated number from the pin. Asked the operator if Pennington Seed Co. sounded familiar... She did, said I must be on a Walmart load. I asked how and where do I go to find them in Schuyler... She said, "oh! I'm in NH and you are looking for our NY plant.

She gave me the number and got automated directions... Which were quick to point out that they don't show up on any mapping software or GPS. Along with directions, it gave me an address for the last turn to find the plant. City is the next town over.

Turns out they've been here 3 years.

 

Ha ha load canceled after sitting here for two hours.

Nice to be able to finally check in. We are in Gordonsville, VA at Wallyworld dist. center. Waiting for an empty trailer and then find out where next.

 

Sitting in Corinne Utah waiting on our appointment time, then its turn and burn back to Bama so I can go on home time.

 

La Vergne TN... waitin' on a door. Heading for SC... just in time for Irene! Now that's some load planning!

In other news, the DOT-certified quack I visited this morning stamped my "still breathing" ticket this morning. Good to go for another year of never-endin' truckin' fun!



...and the flat-feet sleuths at TSA have decided I haven't defected to the other side. Good to go to pull hazmat. Again. Like that's gonna change. I think its more about the $90 than anything else...

 

We may have crossed paths somewhere last night... I came out of Tyson in Shelbyville.... that joint's an adventure... not to mention that they apparently can't count... 1st stop was 1 case short

Currently sitting in Troy IL T/A after getting my 1st stop off this morning... headed for WI later tonight.

Time to teach the truck to swim Hope you're not over there & empty when that thing hits... My old trainer is just leaving there as we speak & headed west.
