flood, I was told by the elog department to write "Training Log" on there so that the DOT could not say we were running two logs.

 

they didn't used to tell people that...... thay told my friends wife thay had some special permit for dot to run it on papre and e-log until she ask to see it..

and i don't care what permets say they are wrong 16 days a year

they are going to just hate me when i go to e-logs because i will show them how they are wrong and why they miss log

Do you have a ded. acct?
Are the ded. accts to DCs or do you go to the actual stores?

 

I have 2 questions from reading this whole thread...
1)is Perdiem optional?
2)and we just have to carry the paper logs as a backup, correct?

 

1) I think so not 100 percent I got to choose a yr ago
2) yes for a backup only but after they see u can do the elogs correct they take u off of them

 

Let me clarify.

1. per dium is completely optional
2. you will be certified for elogs before you get a truck and you will only need paper log book for back up in case the computer dies or you have a log violation. If you have a violation, you need to go on paper logs until safety clears you

 

Just a FYI on the per diem: USX will deduct .025 CPM from your regular pay if you elect per diem. In the long term it can also have a measurably negative effect on any Soc Sec benifits one may hope to someday recover.
