Came in for breakfast. Overall, the food was decent, pricing reasonable. Except.

I requested my hashbrowns crispy. I received a beige pile of mush with the tiniest bit of brown on it and when I tasted it, it tasted like a freshly peeled potato....lukewarm. so, I asked the waitress about it, noting that she had written "crisp" on the order ticket.

She explained the butter had been taken away from the cooks, so crisping hashbrowns was very difficult and rushed off to another table. Huh? You guys cook bacon. Used bacon grease!

I called her back and asked, "Is it asking too much for them to at least be cooked?"

With an impatient sigh, she returned them to the kitchen. And brought them back still mushy, but at least cooked through.

It's just another tourist trap cafe, not worth my time or money. Won't be back.

You never have to put up with poor quality in product or service.
It is your right to complain....but I am very careful about complaining then sending something I have to eat to where I cant watch.

Took away the butter from the cook? Is that like taking a toy away from a kid?

You get that sad look of like what am I suppose to do now?

I guess they haven't found Canola oil yet? Seems like it would stick and burn?

It's rare for a restaurant to peel their own. I bet they were frozen.

    Injun Thanks this.

I made the mistake of eating there once too, it was the same kind of service back in 2004.
