So running hot doesn't mean illegal. It doesn't mean unsafe, it might imply those things. Could just be a poor choice of words. I used to get scolded for telling drivers to do their best. I had no idea that was code for run it illegal. I truly meant do your best and we'll sort it out. Not really an excuse for running overweight, but there are some times when there is not a viable option for taking a load back to a shipper. I've had dudes pick up relays that there overweight and couldn't be corrected. 100 miles to the cons, or 800 back to shipper. what would you do?

Yes there are most of the people that @$#%^& about every company there with want a perfect company no company is perfect but if you worry about you and try to put forth a good effort you will make it. -
I've since moved up in the world to a better (and smaller) company, with better pay and a more personable atmosphere.
Keep your eyes open for the trucks you don't see everywhere, make note of where they're out of, and do your research. -
